last night during the 2007 nba draft, umass' very own stephane lasme went to the golden state warriors in the 2nd round, 47th overall. lasme leaves umass as one of the most decorated players in school history - coming off an incredible senior season as he led the squad to its best season in a decade with a 24-9 record and a second-round NIT appearance. click here to read more about this exciting time - he is the first umass player drafted since 1999!
i feel privledged to know him and to have been able to see him play during his senior year. he is truly a masterpiece to watch - incredible athleticism and skill, but also a very humble and genuine person. i am excited to see how this new chapter in his life emerges. GOOOOOO LASME!!!!
